Ted has been involved this week in the Conservation Fund’s gateway communities seminar at the National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. The seminar is offered by the Conservation Fund in partnership with the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), the National Endowment for the Arts, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
Fermata has been involved with both ARC seminars held this year. Ted spoke at the first a few weeks ago in Abingdon, VIrginia, followed by this most recent workshop at NCTC. A total of fifteen Appalachian communities have participated, ranging from northern Alabama to upstate New York. Future plans include holding a similar seminar in the Great Plains this fall.
